Anyone else feeling lonely after Secret Santa? It was a nice feeling when my page said "inbox 8" at one time with SS horse requests, and I loved all of the activity...., and touching base with all of my acquaintances/friends/people I haven't met yet. but now Secret Santa is over and now what do I do? (BTW if I made a commitment to do something and I forgot in the chaos please let me know)

Although as of the 1st my horse is leased out and that doesn't help either. :(. And Mom and I had to move from a 3 bedroom house to a 1 bedroom apartment. When I was at a horse show (that I didn't get ANY placings at BTW super bummed) Mom (and her BF) moved most of our stuff. But not all of it. So she had to go back to work. So I had to move the rest by myself (eventually I talked to my teacher and he recommended a friend a could hire). Our landlord gave the keys to the house to the new person moving in before we were even moved out. (It was to her CREEPY son but still). And he came in and put a Satanic Shower Curtain on and touched our stuff, and took pictures (which is fine decorate how he wants but... while I'm still in there?) . Really creeped me out. I know intelectually that it was because she was stressed, but Mom blamed some stuff on me that I don't think I deserved. That made me so angry I started shaking and then cried (why cry? Don't know) in front of Aaron. The guy moving in. Of course. So anyways. Had a rough week, and lonely because my one local "in person" friend isn't talking to me now. But that's another story..... There was more drama, but I'll spare the details. I HATE drama.... Including the transmission going out in Mom's truck.

Anyone have any ISO's I can help with?... Nothing is more satisfying then having a good match for something someone was looking for.... Even if its just straws/eggs.

So we got our last growth scan today. We are 30 weeks 5 days. The girls are doing amazing! Miss Hazel is my chunk at 3 pounds 15 ounces ( in comparison I was 3 pounds 4 ounces at birth as a 32 weeker) and Miss Sophia is no longer considered growth restricted at 3 pounds even! They are schedualing me c-section for sometime around 32 weeks (so around January 17th). IF Sophia goes head down they may let me try for a natural but I'm worried she wont be strong enough so I may just insist on the c-section. I'd went into false labor a few days ago, but it was non progressive, and they handled the contractions amazingly like everything else being thrown at them! I'm just so excited. I'll get to meet the strong little girls in a little over a week! And I'm terrified. I'm going to be a mom. And I have no clue what to do!

My favorites are always the ones I get when they first arrive at their furever home and today gave me what may just be my all time favorite "adopted" picture.

Partially because Baby holds a special place in my heart as she held out for a full 24 hours from her siblings to be born so she gets her birthday all to herself (prima donna much :D) but well I think the picture says it all...
So i got a message from my dad yesterday telling me i need to make a decision about my dog. She's 15 years old and 100% blind and now we think shes going deaf. She basically lives in her own excrement because she can't tell the difference of being outside and inside anymore. I've been trying to avoid this day but i decided i can't let her live like that anymore. My dad is taking her to the vet today to have her put down. I know it's what is best for her but the hardest part is that i am i Kentucky (i live in Michigan) visiting my sister for the week so i don't even get to say goodbye. She was born at our house. We had her mom and dad. I was 7 when she was born and i still remember that day like it was yesterday. While my sister and her friend are out doing lessons at the barn they work at i'm sitting here just crying my eyes out. I just wish i could go home and see her. It's so hard to accept the fact that when i do go home on Saturday she won't be there anymore. At least i'll have my other dog to love on when i get home. I call her my emotional support dog. I love being here with my sister since i don't see her very often since she moved, but i just wanna go home so bad. I wish i could just leave. If anyone has some encouragement for me i need everything i can get :(

So i have a doctor appointment tomorrow for my knee and would appreciate some good vibes and prayers. About 2-3 weeks ago i was sprinting out the front door to chase my horse out of her pasture-mates grain bucket and as i ran out the mud room door, my ring got hooked on the doorknob and the sudden cease in forward momentum sent me flying to the concrete garage floor. Since then my knee has continued to feel super uncomfortable and so i finally set an appointment to get it looked at. I am praying it's nothing serious, but also really really hoping it's not tendinitis because there isn't anything that can be done if it is (i have it in my elbow and hand and all i can do when it acts up is ice). Even just sitting is uncomfortable and trying to fall asleep takes forever.

Also, i am going to mention another symptom of something i have been dealing with for 5.5 years. Long story short-ish, i got sick, like super sore throat/summer cold sick, in June 2013 and even after i got better, a wheezy constant cough remained. Doctors haven't been able to tell me what's wrong. I've seen at least 5 different doctors and I have had chest xrays, breathing tests, my throat scoped, been allergy/scratch tested and been on 8 different medications including 2 different inhalers. Back in February, Valentines Day to be exact, i had my stomach scoped and had a monitor placed in my esophagus to measure acid levels after a new symptom had appeared late last year. It seemed like my stomach spontaneously filled with air like an internal hiccup (super hard to describe the actual sensation). Every single test has come back normal. Every time i have been told nothing is wrong with me. One doctor even told me it was all in my head and that i should see a psychologist. WELL! A new symptom has started recently which has moved up to my ears. It feels basically like i'm trying to push air out of my stomach and up through my ears, if that makes sense. So gonna talk to my regular doctor about it again and maybe see if there is anything else we can try. :( I just wanna live normally again so prayers appreciated.

If you read that all, you are amazing lol

I know I create way to many of these posts but today really sucked. So i was moved over to L&D because the babies wouldn't cooperate for the NST. So my grandmother and sister come down, the only ones that bothered today, and my grandmother couldnt even treat me normally for ONE day. She really only came down because I was having heavy contractions and she thought she'd get to be here when they got here. Then every time I tried talking through the contractions she had something to say. Like I should have a catheter in because they had me hooked up to the NST. Then when I said my boyfriend was gonna bring some gifts down for me to open so that I wouldn't completely miss the baby shower and she comes out with "well the big stuff needs to stay where it is until the babies are ready to be discharged" all this while I'm having a massive contraction. So I went from kind of depressed because my disability hasnt kicked in and I couldnt take advantage of the sale and finally get my plaid, to really depressed because shes never really down here for me, no one really is. I dont know how much more of this I can take. I'm beginning to think that this was all a bad idea and I'm kinda starting to wish I had a time machine so I could go back in time and remain on birth control...

So simple situation. I have always ridden without spurs, never used them before. I originally was on the path towards jumping right away, but after switching trainers (which was perhaps the greatest decision I have made for my riding future) I am getting more into my training with different cues and advancing. My trainer wants me to start using spurs sometimes when I am doing my lessons. But I don't know what I should go for. The horse I usually ride is pretty sensitive with leg, push button go horse.

Side note: You can check him out, his name is Verro Dello. I'd buy him if he wasn't for sale for $30,000 (yikies) lol.

One friend of mine said to go for a nub basically, the smallest spur I can find. Another friend of mine said to go for a 1 inch, rounded spur.

Suggestions? Opinions? I have a stronger leg, and I tend to have 'duck feet' as my trainer calls them (remnants of my previous jumper trainer, drives my current dressage trainer crazy lol). I am spending a year or so with just flatwork and dressage before eventually moving on to jumping as a much more solid rider.

Thank you!! <3

So after battling myself for all of my childhood, I think that IV finally found a subject that truly interests me. (This game truly has been a huge help. Thank you, ammit and everyone else that makes this game possible.)

All my life ive gone back and forth on what I want to do. When I was eight, I wanted to be a paleontologist. When I was 12, I wanted to be a vet. When I was 15, I wanted to be a clinical psychologist. (And that stuck with me until just recently!) well, when I found this game and started learning more about what genes cause what, ive absoloutley fallen in love with it. I find genetics fascinating, and I hope to someday either start my own mustang rehabilitation center OR Start a horse ranch, where id dabble with genetics. ( id love to barrel race competitively!)

Ive skowered Youtube trying to find as many videos on horse genetics as I could, (I didn't find much :-S ) and I have NO idea where to start online. Does anyone know of any resources that I could look into? I want to know anything and everything that I possibly can about genetics and what causes certain traits in horses. Like in this game, are there any risky pairings that could result in a foal that is lethal? What goes into breeding horses? How do i make connections with other breeders/buyers and such? How can you register a horse, and what's the point in registering them?

What I plan on breeding: either shire horses, or gypsy/shire crosses :)

If anyone knows of any website that explains horse genetics specifically, or any website that would give me information that you think would help me on my journey, please comoment. I need as much help as I could possibly get lol

Okay. I don't know if Im allowed to post this here, but I need to talk to someone about this..

Do to unforeseen circumstances, me and my family have to give up our two cats (No, actually; we are being FORCED to give them up. Im not going to explain what happened, but all ill say is that I live in an apartment complex and if I don't rehome them then my whole family will get evicted and have nowhere to stay).

Its honestly taking everything in my power not to ball my eyes out right now. Those two cats (Simba and Superman) are NY LIFE. they make my world so bright; when I come home from school, Simba would sit in the windowsill and greet me. He would literally jump on my shoulders and give my face little "kisses". (I call them kisses. He would gently nuzzle my face and neck with his little nose) I rescued him a couple months back from an abusive home, and ever since then we've grown an extremely close bond that can't be replicated.

He's helped me when no other human would. He could sense when I was sick. Hell, (excuse my French) that's the only cat that ive ever had that my mom had fallen head over heals for. My grandmother (who HATES cats) loves him! Both of my cats helped me get through my depression and anxiety.

Anyway, thank you guys for letting me get this off my chest..

Thanksgiving is supposed to be a time of family and happiness etc but this year has been nothing but frustrating :(
First off, i was told i can't ride at my uncles house because his neighbors could be hunting over there. I literally cannot ride ANYWHERE else :'( So i basically can't do anything until Monday which sucks. I did end up doing some ground work in the round sand pit area we use to tack up and Angel has no idea what WALK means... Nothing but trot or stop.
When i fed the animals this morning, i have to babysit my sisters mare because Angel, my not-so-angelic mare, keeps trying to steal her grain. And Classy, my sisters horse, is a pushover. So i get to sit and stare at the absolute slowest eater in the planet until she finishes. I have to do this twice a day when they get grain and out in the freezing snow.
Then my sister told me horzelovers had breeches on sale for $15 so i rushed onto their website and sure enough not a single one of the $15 breeches were in my fat self size 8-| There was i think one pair that was literally ONE size off! Just my rotten luck...
My parents and i didn't get to do anything special together because we technically already had our family thanksgiving last week when my sister visited from Kentucky. I was hoping we would have at least done something nice but nope, my mom went to work instead.
I bought some pastures on here at 11am, really excited to reorganize my chinchilla line, but the pastures have yet to show up on my account (yes Ammit knows, i have pm'd her).
I made homemade queso blanco dip which is amazing and is so far probably the best part of my day, but i forgot i still had red onion/jalapeno juice on my fingers and touched my eye... definitely thought i was gonna go blind :))
And lastly i got a cappuccino from the gas station today, my favorite gas station to get this particular cappuccino, and it was terrible :'( It didn't have nearly the amount of flavor that it used to.

*Sigh* Everything just kinda ganged up on me all at once today... Kudos if you read that whole thing. I hate sounding like i'm complaining or ungrateful but jeezums... it's been a mentally rough day. I'm gonna curl up and watch videos on youtube now lol

So I haven't really updated anyone here because we weren't sure what's going on. Theres been alot of complications with the twins, who we found out are girls! There's been alot of complications. I hemorrhaged at 16 weeks and they told me I was losing them. Then the next week i was told i had stage three twin to twin transfusion and was rushed to NYC to the childrens hospital only to find out it wasnt that bad and I just needed to be monitored weekly. Then 2 weeks later we find out that its NOT twin to twin transfusion but selective intrauterine growth restriction and baby b is measuring about a week behind with a 30% growth discrepancy. They have actively been suggesting selective termination although weve told them it's out of the question unless its absolutely necessary. At this point they can decide to take the babies anywhere from Thanksgiving to their due date in March. I've never been so scared in my life. But the good news is we have baby names and as of right now they are strong! The little one is my big mover and loves to kick daddy already. Their names are Sophia Rose (our smaller baby) and Hazel Faith!!

So I was reading through bourbon's post about losing weight and everyone was talking about how diet is much better than exercise to lose weight. Well, I've been trying to lose about 30 lbs for a while now and I could really use some advice because dieting is very tricky for me because of a lethal food allergy.

I am dangerously allergic to iodine, both natural and medical. It is a constant struggle to take in enough to survive without taking in too much and killing myself. The thing is, iodine is in so much stuff! I can barely find anything safe for me to eat. For example, here is a small sample of foods/ingredients that will make me sick if I eat them. (And by sick, I mean anaphylaxis. If you don't know what that is, it means my throat and tongue swell shut and I can't breathe if I have a severe reaction, but there are also dozens of minor reactions that are still horrible like vomiting and diarrhea and extreme lethargy and cramps.)

Soybean oil. (This stuff is in /everything/. I have been hospitalized seven times because I didn't know something had soybean oil in it, including but not limited to: bread, peanut butter, salad dressings, butter, cookies, pizza and spaghetti sauce, and tofu.)
Seafood. (If it comes out of the ocean, I can't have it.)
Dairy. (Most dairy cows are given iodine supplements.)
Potatoes with skins. (Potatoes are washed in iodine baths to kill bacteria.)
Cranberries. (Fun fact: half a cup of cranberries has more than 500% of your daily iodine needs.)
Bananas. (Gonna admit, I cried at this one.)

You can see my issue, right? I have no idea what sort of diet I can build around this allergy. Every 'low iodine' or 'iodine free' diet I've ever found online are meant for medical tests and are super short term; like three meal ideas. And the allergy is so rare, it's virtually impossible to find a lot of information on it. So if anyone has any ideas, literally /any/ ideas, please let me know. I hate having to eat cheap frozen meals because I just don't know what else to make that won't try to assassinate me.

So it may not be quite as long as "lifelong" initially sounds to some of you, given that I'm only turning 23 this November, but it's still amazing! Ever since I can remember I've been a bit of a "princess" at heart (despite being much more a tomboy in my day-to-day life) and as such, I've always loved the idea of things like castles and balls and pretty dresses.

Well, one of my special desires, especially since the first time I watched Phantom of the Opera, was to attend a masquerade ball.

This year, it's happening. I finally found one near me that works with my schedule and that I can afford. It's about a 2 hour drive from Boise to Baker City, but the tickets for the ball are only $25, which means we've been able to afford a little extra to stay at the fancy hotel it's happening at, the Geiser Grand hotel, which is a beautifully, amazingly, stunningly gorgeous hotel! Raised ceilings, stained glass, chandeliers and four poster beds: it's a little girl's dream come true.

My only remaining problem was a dress. Pardon my saying so, but a regular evening dress just wouldn't cut it for me, not for this. I needed more floof. :))

Well, I've been looking for weeks, and everything was either not-twirly or way, way expensive. I was starting to get really frustrated and feeling like I would have to settle, when my wonderful friend @BakeryStables reminded me that I can sew (somewhat). Why not alter a dress?

I'm not the greatest, not by a long shot, but I know how to work a sewing machine and I've made a couple pieces, including a simple Link (LoZ) costume (tunic/kilt/hat/bag) for my brother several years ago. I've not ever used a pattern except for once with the help of my mom, so I wasn't confident in my ability to sew a dress from scratch, but altering a few things certainly seemed within the realm of possibility.

$23.61, two days, and 10 work hours later, and I have an even more beautiful dress with enough material it can twirl. :x

I'm feeling on top of the world right now!

Before

After

Raising Awareness For Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Hey guys,

This post may seem a little "out-there" for this site and this type of community, but this topic is something that has affected me personally, and I feel the need to raise awareness for it wherever I can, so here it goes...

As most of you would know Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an internationally recognised awareness campaign that spans the entire month of October.

Whilst I haven't been affected myself by this disease, I have had to watch this horrible cancer tear my family apart, as it was revealed several years ago that it affects my family genetically. In the past 15 years alone, a few women in my family have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer, and unfortunately only some made it to the other side.

So I can't stress to the women reading this how important early detection is with this horrible cancer. It may seem uncomfortable to have your breasts checked or have a mammogram, but it could quite literally be the difference between life and death.

Most of you have probably seen the video Serena Williams released recently, where she sings "I Touch Myself" by celebrated diva Chrissy Amphlett and the Divinyls, for the I Touch Myself Campaign. The campaign was started in 2014 after Amphlett's tragic death from Breast Cancer to raise awareness in association with Breast Cancer New South Wales and the Breast Cancer Network Australia. A campaign that has been very successful in raising awareness down here in Australia. And has been a driving force for my family to get checked, after they released the original music video starring singers like Olivia Newton John and Kate Cebrano: 2014 I Touch Myself Music Video

The last line Williams' sings is 'Think I would die if you were to ignore me', this for me personally strikes a heart string, as it pretty much perfectly paints the picture on how the later breast cancer is detected the more likely it is to be deadly. A scenario faced by my grandmother, who unfortunately passed away from it.

And to the men reading this, do not for one second think this fight only involves women! We have a very important role to play in challenging or encouraging the women in your life, whether it be your wife/girlfriend, sister, daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, or friend, to go and get checked.

So ladies, I challenge you this month to go get your breasts checked, I ask of you to challenge your friends and families to do the same. I challenge you to use social media and online communities to spread awareness. I challenge you to hold fundraisers to help raise awareness and funds to help fight this disease!

Breast Cancer is a silent killer, it doesn't care about age, colour, race, religion, income, sexuality, or ethnicity, it affects all types of people from all walks of life.

So I beg of you to go get checked and to spread awareness, because challenging someone to do the same could be the simple act of saving a life!

Thanks,
TBH

I Touch Myself Project
American Breast Cancer Foundation
Breast Cancer Network Australia
Berlei Australia Breast Cancer Fundraising Campaign

My most recent family I have been with for about 3 years as I started before the baby could walk. I have had some housing issues come up, the parents finally filed for divorce in the last several months. I had to stop seeing my girls for lack of payment. Today the baby is coming back to me while her sisters are in school! I can't wait to see her, but it's been a long time since I've only had one child. It's a way lot more work.

P.S. I'll do straws for pull price in the next 50 hours. Search 45140 or 45120 and leave me a request here.
