Haven't had much time to myself this weekend, but I did manage to get my horses bred and sorted.

I don't normally name my girls, but this one earned it. Her sire, DS Stardust, is named after the code name used for the Death Star project. I thought A New Hope was fitting for her. It has taken me two years to break through to 14.0 PT. I am over the moon.

Okay, so I just have to brag a little because I'm just so happy/excited. I got this lovely Hom DP mare from just a normal create a horse. When I first saw her I figured she was likely a hom sty chestnut but was blown away when she only had one sty gene! Her PT isn't awesome and she is inconsistent but she will be a great asset to my DP line. ^_^

Idea for new tack pack

I was wondering if I am the only one that would like the idea of having show harnesses for a tack pack. I love the look of drafts in a nice harness with the tail and mane all done up and lots of feathers on the legs. The traces could be hooked up on the hip. Maybe even put together a tack pack that includes something from the tack packs we have now.
Just an idea.

This filly had a chance to get Lp and PATN1 from both parents and Sabino 1, W20, Splash, Dun or Champagne from her dam. What does she get...only Sabino 1and a WF of None... so the Sabino is a spot on the back of her left front leg. At least she is Blue and has a good PT

So, silly question, but what actually is SBA based on? I'm just wondering because these foundation mares passed SBA, but then when I did their performance testing they each scored an earth-shattering 0.60.

Out of some 350-ish foals, I got four really promising boys for the future of my Ravager and Winter Sky lines. I wish that Fury Of The Storm was a bit taller, and all of the others could do with heavier bone, but overall I'm thrilled with them.

Ready for A Rerun of the DP Question?

Usually, I feel pretty confident about judging DP - especially in livers and chocolate palominos. When this filly popped up, I was certain she was a het DP liver. But, her color came out chocolate palomino. My gut says that shade of chocolate palomino must be homozygous for DP but I'd love a second opinion on that.

I didn't think her sire's line had DP and I couldn't begin to guess where. Would love to hear what others thought!
