I keep hoarding ponies that I just don't need/use!
I only really breed my horses in pasture but I don't have enough pasture to breed everyone every month so I have a lot if horses that wait and rot.

784 if my 1233 horses are intact. On average I breed atleast 150 mares a season sometimes more sometimes less. Either way those numbers just don't add up. Especially since I primarily breed 2nd gen and foundations but not my 3rd and up
I'm trying really hard to bite the bullet and rehome some of my horses but I keep getting caught up in other (real life) things.

How would you suggest going through and culling out the horses that I don't breed? I've thought about just posting a link and letting everyone pick 3 horses a day to take home. Buut I don't have a buddy chat and can't gauenteed that they'll get that horse before someone else does

I've got a fair idea of what to look for in chestnut and palomino based horses to determine DP, but what does it look like with other factors influencing it? Are there specific colour names besides liver and chocolate?

Can you identify DP on say a buckskin or Amber champagne? When silver is involved, does that look different as well? I can't search the horses page with DP being untestable.

He passed BA (SBA has been cruel, I'm scared. :\"> ) and is an evenly bred 6 gen colt out of my A papered liver pearl stud and a nice Blue papered het pearl bay mare I think is also DP, so he could conceivably be homozygous pearl, sooty, and DP. This colt is dappled and gorgeous, exactly what I'm breeding for with my stud, but my homozygous pearl stallion is young and I have so few mares of similar generations that I'm wondering how I could really use him other than putting him at stud.

For over a really life year I have been struggling with getting past a PT of 12.7, and had just barely gotten another 12.8 last month. This month I got 13 foals with a pt of 13 or higher (love the coincidence). Only 2 of them are intact and they are both What Was I Thinking colts, but they should all be great show horses. Here are a few of them.

Then also, I don't try to breed for fantasy genes to be my herd, but want to keep a few represent, so these two from mares I am trying to breed up on quality on were both amazing

And I also have been breeding a home bred ice boy when my ice girls didn't make the cut hoping for some new ice fillies that were high enough gold. Last month I got Ice colts, but plain files. This month I got plain colts, but more ice fillies than I know what to do with! LOL Once agin, not all of them.

And I got a handful of intact colts and fillies from my bootstrapped GP line, so can't wait till I can afford more testing to see if any class in the breeder club and how colts comparison test.

Next Month I plan on using What Was I thinking on as many mares as I can, and will use Silver Storm, my aga Solemn Singularity het GP guy with the GP gals. The mares left over will probably be split up between Wavefinder and Into the West.
