I LOVE Ice 5, and I was thrilled to have a chance with him, but now I want to cut out hom rec and even het sooty - only hom sootys for me! I did a silly thing and sold back ALL his foals (I had a lot of nice ones from him) so I could GMT him hom sooty, but I found out that you can't GMT if a horse has grandfoals. So you guys get a chance at him! He is 12 years old so has at least 6 months left including this one.

In Concept:
I know that sometimes newer players have a hard time with these contests as their herds are not quite built up yet. In this contest owners do not represent their own horses. Instead, a random other player will practice their searching skills and pick out 5 horses that make the requirements I state.

The pot money will be in the sum of 300,000 total 150k for 1st 100k for second and 50k for third. (Half will go to the owner of the horses, and the other half will go to the person who picked out the horses). In this way everyone, regardless of how many pretties you might have, you can represent an owner who does have a more established herd.

This post is to determine who is going to be assigned who. Please just post here saying that you're willing to participate.

I will leave this post open until the 19th. Then we will start the beauty contest and I will discuss what the horse requirements are. Winning horses are to be determined via popular vote by the "thanks" selection when someone posts a reply. I will break ties.

Also please add your ID # to your post

Here's the two changes!:

First of all the person you will be representing will be chosen randomly instead of whoever went in front of you. I will use paper in a hat to determine this.

Second change, please break into two groups. Younger players "the pickers" and more established players "the owners". If you are on the fence please say so, and I'll assign you a category later based on whether I have more owners or pickers, as I will need an equal number of each.

When we get to the voting portion, everyone can vote regardless of whether or not they participated.

At the end I will ask for suggestions to make it better next time. I know I had a couple more things I wished to change and if I remember what it was in the next couple days I'll add it to here, otherwise I'll just change it for next time.

Also interested in looking for a player who might be willing to run this next time so I can participate....

Please put questions here, I only count a post as an entry if you also put your ID number. That's how I will decipher between asking questions/answering questions and entries. Make sure you state whether you are an "owner", a "picker", or "on the fence"

So far I would recommend choosing picker if you have bred or created less than 500
horses.

We now have donations through 2 generous players so we now have a pot of 3,250,000! I’m now going to give placings through 4th place. Haven’t decided how I’m going to divide it up yet.

New update! With Dark Star's and another kind player's donations I have enough to grant participation prizes for everyone in addition to larger prizes through 4th place. I'm not sure how I will divide it up, until I see how many people we get, but the participation prize will be at least 10,000 for every person.
