Is there a list of rank specials or what each foundation is listed as?
Ex Bring Back the Sun- someone said basically a perfect foundation. What about liie Brindle Break outs and Vault of stars etc? I see so many I have never heard of and have no idea what makes them special.

I haz a confused - Pasture breeding

I'm still learning how pastures work, and this is my first season to receive an E Mail alert that says which foal is the best. I checked him out and didn't see anything particularly exciting about him. A PT low enough he would have gotten gelded if I hadn't received the notice, and though he papered B, so did a bunch of my other foals from the pastures.

My eyes were bigger than my barn capacity, as far as keeping yearlings from last season. My plan was to keep pretty much all of them, but well, you know how that goes.

But, I'd like to keep a lot of them around so I can evaluate their dams, so I thought I would offer them for 1k (cost of breeding & PT). They are all performance tested and I offered ones who tested 11 or higher, and some are very shiny.

These are primarily for new players but my definition of new players in this instance is pretty relaxed, so if you'd like to pick up a couple, feel free, unless you've got 20 barns full of good show horses already. The only thing I ask is that you not yum or auction them... sell them back to me if you decide you don't want them (I don't know why you wouldn't).

They are on offer to my buddy list to make this easier. If you'd like to pick up a couple and you're not on my buddy list, message me and I'll add you. Please limit two per customer to give everyone a chance to get some good tested show babies.

I am still adding more so if they've run out, check back. I'm slowly making a little breathing room in my barns.

Annual Who Might You Lose?

It's that time of the year again, when you might only have a few days left with an aging horse. As most of us know, horses who turn 18 and up also have a chance of dying on the monthly rollover. I had a stud as a Christmas present from Maribo die at the beginning of this month. I haven't been playing long enough to have any homebred horses get old enough, so far.

Who will you be sad to see go?

Ammit, this is in no way important, but has made me curious!

When I see the list of who is online your name pops up, then pops off like a metronome. Is that a standard comupter thing? Is it checking to see if anyone tagged you, or something like that?

Like I said; if I leave the forum up it catches my eye every time, so I was just wondering.....

I'm totally showing off here, but my breeding season is starting with a bang and we always need one of these threads anyway! I hope everyone else shares their super cool foals here!

On that note, I just got a B papered AGA Lambrusco Star gen 2 KP colt from Jailee's First Frost boy. He's got a ton of patterns so he's pretty much all white--no whisps--but he will be an amazing anchor for my KP line!

I decided to make ten flaxen dark chestnut draft mares before I closed out yesterday's HH. I won the 10K lottery with the last one and got two (!) liver chestnut mares that remained intact throughout their testing! What an exciting start to a busy day.

Donation Barns

A bunch of us had a coversation on the Facebook page about expediting donations for new members, or Secret Santa or anyone who could use some help. I've set up a tattoo with the name 'Available to Adopt' so that it is searchable. I plan to put information in the horses notes about that horse and where they might fit into a show barn (ex; This horse is a rank special Great Show Horses. That means they train and show to the maximum ability of their generation (foundation). S/he won't make you huge amounts of money, but s/he should bring in a steady flow and much needed points.)

I propose that anyone who wants to give horses to new folks, or anyone, for that matter, make a tattoo and name it "Available to Adopt". The shape/size/placement of the tattoo really won't matter, you can make it a lip tattoo if you want, but if all the barns who want to make donations use the same wording people will be able to search and select from a nice pool of show horses.

Any thoughts? Suggestions?

Your prospect was so bad you actually caused Dorris to faint dead away when she saw it. This is a very bad sign. Oh how the other stables are going to talk about this!

Lets just hope she's a good breeder, lol. Meanwhile I love the markings on her hip. I think they look like a clock, with the dots in a circle and "hands" in the center, so I named her Timekeeper. :D

Is there a way to see if you got that money? My account is at 4k and I have a premium membership and said my show bonus was 30k. I don't think I was in the hole. But I don't remember for sure. But I am fairy certain I didn't get my weeks money. Gonna be a long hard week.

Preferably breedable now, although it's nearly next breeding season anyway so 2yo is ok. Era 2 or 3, I'd love a liver but I'll look at silver and/or any KIT gens, or something fancy LOL! Must be at least superior to their sire.
