There are two groups to choose from; Under 100k and Over 100k worth of gifts. The persons name you receive will be from the same group you signed up for. The receiving is not what is important here, it's the feeling of giving the perfect present for that special someone!**

How to give anonymous gifts (only available if you have an online payment account like PayPal):

1. Go to the Upgrades link on the menu on the left side of your game screen
2. Select the Upgrade or add ons (such as barns, pastures, boost tokens, GMT's (only available on HJ1), game cash (HBs) or gift certificates you want to buy.
3. Replace your Stable ID number (in the box provided) with the Stable ID number of the person you want to receive the gift.
4. Click add to cart.
5. You will then be directed to the payment method page (PayPal), to pay for the gift.
6. The gift will appear in the stable of the person whose ID you entered.

You can also send eggs, straws, and embryos via the Advanced Breeding Lab without the recipient knowing where they came from (be careful if they are all your own horses, as they may guess who you are!) This is where elves come in handy - you can contact the elf to help you buy horses inconspicuously and hold them until you are ready to send them.

Merry Christmas to everyone here at HJ2. I had my wonderful SS surprises waiting for my on Christmas Eve. I had noticed a couple of teasers. A new barn, some Hb's. Then I got my new horses yesterday. They are awesome.

I also had enough to GMT this guy and bought him a breeding boost from Ammit's Christmas Discounts.
All tests left intact. He started with a 9.9 PT from a Perfect Foundation. He papered 'C.'
GMT'ed double DP for black liver chestnut, StySty, and Consistency Boost. Perfect foundation HH with a 5% breeding boost, and he went from the 9.9 to a 10 on PT, and jumped up to a 'B' papering. I am so excited.

Questions About LB Standings

I have a few questions about the lb standings in breeders clubs. How can I get on them in the top producing mares and stallions sections? Is it about the amount of foals they produce? Or the quality of foals? (Realistically) Do I need to be on an upgrade to get on them?

Horse Color?

I bought this Horse and I don't understand his coloring. It says he is a Smokey black Splash frame and he is in the satin, frame, cream, and Splash breeders clubs. What is it that makes him multicolored and shiny? Is it the satin? Is it that the previous owner bought the Luster Dust and applied it the Horse. If so, wouldn't that go away once I bought him? He appears to have passed it down to some of his Foals, and the ones he has passed it down to, he is the only parent to have it. I also haven't been able to get Foals from him that have it. Here I see his link. :)

Gen 3 mare quality question

Hi y'all!

As many of you know, I've been working hard to improve my herd breeding quality, especially since I did that mass cull and sale several months ago. Since then I've had major breakthroughs in stallion quality at gen 3 and 4 and I couldn't be happier.

I have run into a quandary with my gen 3 mares, however, and I'm hoping some of you experienced breeders looking for a significant increase in breeding quality in each generation can help me.

I get a few Blue papered gen 2 mares but mostly they are Reds. They are all required to maintain an AFPT of 10.5 and above.

At gen 4 I require my mares to paper Blue and I am culling Reds. They have to maintain an AFPT of 11.3 and above.

At gen 3 I am hoping to transition to requiring Blue papers as well. At the moment about a third of my newly papered mares each season in this gen are Papering Blue. The stallions I am using are mostly fairly young and most mares have at least one foal from an inferior stallion in their offspring. I require an AFPT of 11.0.

Here is my quandary: I have Red mares in this gen that are meeting my AFPT requirements, sometimes by several tenths of a point. Do I cull them for Papering Red? Do I give them a couple more seasons and re-paper? Do I cull the ones that are just scraping through but keep the ones with AFPTs above 11.2?

I have mares that are up to 9 years old waiting in foal barns to get into one of these pastures just to get a shot, so replacement mares are not a problem.

Since there is so much forum traffic right now I figured this is a good chance to get opinions. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated!

The new Holiday Herd Helpers just got me thinking about this. Being a new stable, my earnings from showing are not huge just yet, so having lots of geldings and spayed mares is ideal. When I first started, I created two stallions with the Great Show horses tattoo who both went on to pass all their testing. I bred them to some of my mares and got three colts, one of which was gelded. I also got a stallion who has the benefit of the Bring Back the Sun tattoo, making him a perfect foundation I believe? So at this point, would you geld the two 'great show horse' stallions and us their sons and the new stallion? I'd put them up for stud, but I don't think they would bring in anything substantial enough to make it worth wild. I've included links to them all if anyone is curious!

I love how the look grooming in the snow looks on the horses. My draft foundations will this on them only I think.
