How do you recommoned I comparison future colts? It's too expensive to compare all of them twice (both to benchmark and ExPer). Should I just compare them against an ExPer and keep only those that are superior? Or is it okay to compare them to a benchmark like I've been doing until now, and keep anything that is AGA, and not care about whether they are AGA or superior to the ExPers? My seemingly normal RS throws a suspicious amount of dark foals. He has vanish and it's hard to see his base.

(Note the buckskin and brown mares that look like twins on the first page of his foals have varnish but we're rather dark as well)

Then only reason I falter with whether or not he is a DP carrier is that he isnt that dark and he hasn't produced a liver or chocolate foal with the damn already having DP.
His brown and some bay foals are just so dark it makes me second guess myself all the time and I need someone to tell for sure he isnt DP and it's just so strong sooty at work

Reregistering Your Horse
Are you certain you wish to register this horse in your name? The old breed and brand data will be lost and your breeder information used instead. It costs 3000 hb's to reregister a horse.

I am curious about it. I haven't seen it before. Is it something new? Why is it on this mare, but not any of the other foundation horses I bought yesterday?

Edit: the reregister button is also on another mare I bought from the same person.

I recently breed some foundation horses and I got this lovely colt. At first glance, I thought he was black then realized his color testing came back Brown Tobiano Frame. After the fact I saw the distinct browning near his nose and on his belly, but he is the darkest brown I've breed yet. I'm nearly certain he is homozygous DP because he is also homozygous sooty (which doesn't necessarily make them dark).

For example, this mare of mine is homozygous sooty and I'm relatively certain she doesn't have DP.

I completely understand (but also feel a little like you should have the money before bidding on something).
As of now it has been 10 days since the egg was sent and 4 auctions have happened(3 auctions since I emailed).

I am kind of low on funds so I was really hoping to sell the egg, but also, I like the mare and would like to use the egg if they are not..
At this point what would you suggest I do?

How would I be able to introduce Kit Promotor into my breeding? Do I need to buy the gene myself (am happy to do), or am I able to join a breeders club to be able to obtain some straws/eggs from players who already breed with this?
I do have an egg from a mare (G6 Gold* Hom Pearl/Satin) who I think would be interesting to pair her with a hom KP stallion!
I am just experimenting, so any foals that don't PT/test/paper to standards will be snipped then sold...but any that do will be retained by myself and not sold/up for stud for the public.

Hopefully someone can help me out!

Does the quality of a foal increase as the parents' points increase? Or, is the quality of their foals set from birth and the points express the parents' quality?

For example, if I breed Stallion X to Mare Y when both are 6 years old and both have 25 points, and again at 16 years with 100 points each, will the latter foal be significantly better, based solely on point increase? Assuming all other factors stay the same (length in pasture, etc.)

Overall, my question is - does waiting until my breed able stock is older/has more points increase the value of the foals? I know some games work off that principle but not sure if this one does.

So some of you guys may know that I have recently started two breeding projects: a warmblood line and a draught line. Now I have breed for my Gen2 horses and have papered and tested almost all of them, but I'm stuck on who to breed and if inbreeding is a bad idea and so on. So, I need y'all's help!

I have culled out the colts who did not paper a B or higher. I have a round 5-6 studs who have made the cut and around 7 mares. What I don't know is should I pull from other people’s lines or should I do strict true-breeding? I do have a few Gen2 studs that I own from other breeders that are included in the count and can be taken out if I should keep strict lines.

So, please give me your thoughts and opinions and any of your experiences!
