Refreshing the page resulted in sending the form again and created another horse (not really an issue, because I was going to create a couple anyway), but when I went to my barn, the first horse still has no picture? I even keep refreshing the page, it just comes up as a blank square with a question mark in it. It could just be that I offended my web browser or something.
As a new player, I've been having fun building up my stable of foundation horses. I've quickly discovered the lottery-esque quality of pushing that new foal button is highly addictive!

However, I've started dipping my proverbial toes into the breeding realm to build my own line. I've, so far, tried two strategies:

1 - Breed high PT stallions and mares from my own foundation stock (who pass the breeding test) to, hopefully, gradually increase their quality over time.

2 - Breed a high PT mare (passed breeding test) to a much higher quality stallion that's available for stud.

My assumptions are:

Opt 1 allows the G2 foals to have parents that are of more even quality but the improvement is gradual.

Opt 2 has the potential of producing a foal of higher quality than crossing two of my foundation breeders but the quality of the parents would be noticeably uneven. It also seems they're more likely to not pass the breeding test since it's unlikely they'd be better than their sire.

So far, I've produced 3 foals and all are show prospects rather than breeding prospects. I assume this isn't abnormal. However, are there strengths or weakness to either of these strategies that I haven't considered?

I love this mare but I'm having a hard time using the strict breeding advice button because I don't want her to get spayed..but what do you all think of her? Would you spay her? And do you think if I boosted her she would go to gold?
Pearly Snowflake 8g

What genes would you need to change in order to make this horse a palomino? (Hypothetically speaking since he's obviously way too old to GMT). I'm planning something for the distant future and want to make sure I have it calculated :D

AHH 1G Harpoon

So, since I've splashed out and gotten myself a basic upgrade, I've been papering all my herd and horses bred this year.
I've papered all my foundation stock, majority of which papered Yellow/C (including all my PF and some RS), but I had a small handful of horses that papered Red/B. Obviously some of these were RS (a mare and stallion) but the other three mare that papered Red weren't even PF, just regular HHs, and one is even a plain old 'create' horse that I made when I first started playing.

Anyway, this breeding season, I bred all my Red foundation mares to my B stallion in hopes to produce better quality. I papered what passed breeding advice, and they papered Red/B.

My question is, when you have foundation horses that have papered at Red/B level, what sort of expectations should you have for their offspring in terms of quality? Since B/Red is considered standard for second generation horses, would you leave offspring intact/allow a bit of leeway when their parents are papered B/Red, or would you alter because they have papered the same as their parents?

Am I making sense? I feel like I'm just overthinking it!
