I've been eavesdropping on previous threads and have absorbed a fair bit of information, but am curious to hear what strategies people use for deciding which foals to keep intact, which to neuter and show and which to sell (it's like the marry, kiss, slap game!)

Though I'm interested in various strategies, I have a couple specific questions:
• Do you generally keep more mares than stallions intact?
• I've repeated the "PT isn't related to breeding and low PTs can be good breeders" mantra! Since this is the case, should foals with higher PTs be neutered and shown and those with lower be kept for breeding?
• Especially for newer players, is the benefit of neutering foals and showing greater than selling foals that you don't keep for breeding?

I like to check my levelled off horses so that those who are consistently in last place don't get shown anymore, but so far I can't find any way to identify horses who've levelled off other than manually going to each and every single horse's page and checking.

Is there an easier way to do this? But...

For some reason it's not working for me. Do I need to write it in a special way? I was looking up a certain HH, to see what genes it would give me, and I got a blank page. Happened earlier when looking up Conversation Hearts horses. When I wrote it down, it wouldn't search, but if I copied and pasted it direct from a horses page it would.

Do you guys think this is a bug? Or am I doing stuff wrong?

I have all my mares in my primary pasture, but I want to move one or two to another pasture to breed with a specific stud. I'm not sure how to do that from the My Pastures page.

And he seems very dark compared to most other buckskins I've seen. Is it just the Hom sty making him dark, or could he possibly be carrying DP? His sire is Hom sty and is nowhere near as dark. The new account is TimberRescue. Its to provide players who have horses that just aren't selling a place to sell them besides watching them be destroyed by the auction house. I know that bothered me a bit when I first started and I've noticed others be a bit squeamish about it. I'm still trying to build up funds and space but I can make an announcement when its ready to go.
