Her sire is A papered and dam blue papered. Why did she paper this way and from which one?

I am thinking I am going to have to look at every horse I have and see how their linkage is. I don't mind altered foals if I understand the why on them.

My dancer and Joey lines are my most loved by me. I am having a hard time figuring out why breeding in barn is making most of my foals altered.

1. If you look in the left menu bar under testing and papering, you will probably see Stallion Papering and Mare Papering grayed out near the bottom of the list of testing features. Stallion Papering becomes available when you purchase a Basic Upgrade; Mare Papering becomes available when you purchase a Premium Upgrade. If you have the necessary upgrades, all horses can be papered. Stallions can be papered as soon as they are created or born. Mares have to have 3 live foals on the ground before they can be papered.

I wish to get papers on my best studs so im greatful for all the help :)

Now obviously I would have loved for them to paper B and blue respectively, but should I still use them in my relatively new breeding program or should I geld and spay them? First question: Am I crazy? Or seeing something else? I think I've heard that varnish can be mistaken for snowflake but don't know how to tell the difference between the two.

Second question: One of my appaloosa stallions was bred to a solid mare and a non GMTed App mare and produced these two foals. Am I mistaken that they're showing a similar faint snowflake pattern? If so, does that mean the stallion is heterozygous? Or, am I again mistaking varnish?

I was sorting through horses this evening and was moving them between stables. It looks like I clicked the wrong drop down menu and a group of foals got moved back into the pastures rather than a different barn right before they were sold back. Most of them are easy to cough up to bad luck.

Unfortunately, my snowflake create from this post (http://hj2.huntandjump.com/forum/discussion/comment/47727#Comment_47727) was among them.
