Culling stallions- benchmark?

I have far too many 3g stallions which paper A and are superior to their sire. I'm not sure where to go next to get my numbers down. I want 9 max, 6 ideally. I have 31.

I see a lot of people saying they comparison test their stallions to a "benchmark stud" but I'm not sure what that means or how to pick my own.

I'm also not really breeding for color so my thinking was to cull the highest PTs for show ponies? Not sure if that's a good move.

Any help would be appreciated!

Need some help with this one... I have a macchiato horse 2G and it's saying " The sire or dam of this horse has a closed gene which you do not own the license for (Splash M). You must purchase a foundation horse with this gene to breed it" a tad confused , any help greatly appreciated. I tried to breed her but it's not allowing me to :/

I'm back to bug ya'll again..atleast its not a DP question this time. I'm going through some of my keeper foals from this season and noticed large differences in PT to Paper score and was wondering how they rank against each other. ex is my 9.80 blue filly better or worse than my 10.80 blue? Almost (if not all) are bred out of foundations.
first two of my boys both scored 10.50 but one is B and the other A how did they get different papers with the same score?

Okay I've been playing this game for over a year so I feel kind of silly for asking this, but how do you put the banner on your profile that shows when you're looking at the horse image? I really want one, but I don't know how to put it on. I am also no good at making stuff like that, so is there any way that I could pay some hbs to someone that makes them, if that's a thing? Thanks!!

PT expectation by generation

I was wondering if there is an expectation for PT score by generation. I remember reading about it a long time ago when I was still getting the hang of the game but in searching now I can only seem to find information about paper level by generation.

I know that PT score has nothing to do with breeding ability, but I know from my own herd that it rises from generation to generation.

Do pastures merge?

I started a couple of experiment accounts and bought the $1.99 package for them. Just curious, in the future, if I decide to merge them with my main after I'm done, will the pastures merge too? I'm assuming they will since they're sort of grouped with barns, but just making sure.

Im still going through the forum reading everything I can find on the DP gene and trying to train myself from the visuals but its mainly the Bays and Silver Buckskins Ive seen. I have this show girl I just bred out of two foundations and was curious about her. She tested as Buckskin and is for sure Hom Sooty if Ive read everything right so far but I cant tell if she has DP or not. Her Sire is Cremello Splash Brindle and her Dam is Smokey Blue Roan. If anybody could help me on this one Id be grateful.

Going through a few more foals from the same sire but two Black Appaloosa mares I found a couple more the have me scratching my head both tested as buckskins and are darker than standard are these two just sooty and what's the difference between these two and the first? Sorry I know I'm a pain :-<

Thanks to the fabulous MoonAcres I have enough funds to put het SNF on any foundie horse, of course being het it wont show but I'm trying to decide if I should put it on my mare Sin or not. As far as I know it would make her the only snowflake carrying appy wet n wild in game. If y'all would be kind enough to lay in a vote on whether she should get it or not I'd appreciate it. Every time I breed with a certain stallion, if his foal throws the fantasy ice genes they are ALWAYS better a show horse then a breeder, should I give up on this stallion, he is breaking my heart !!

I have bred my chinchilla stallion 37 times now and not 1 of his offspring carry the gene. I have looked at his line and can't find which gene is even chinchilla. Am I just missing something about this gene.

I love dunskins. Even in RL I love them and dream of a day when I will actually own one. My criteria is dun. I love tobiano and overo markings. I am not sure how to put it in my search?

This is for my 5g boys. My Joey Dream line. I am having issues moving forward with lines because I don't know how to combine lines. This might not make sense to anyone and I am sorry if it doesn't. My mind is all jumbled.

Question about benchmarking

I've started using comparison testing to narrow down my forever expansive stallion herd lol. I understand keeping colts that are superior to their sire. My question though is then how to you compare siblings?

For example, you have two colts by the same sire. Both are superior to the sire. But when you test them against each other they are both "about as good as". Do you expect them to be the same, or is one "worse" than the other since it didn't test superior?

If u ever get a horse or foal and it gives a bar that sais horse image instead of the picture u can re roll the portrait and it will pop up!

I went through and narrowed my uneven boys out except 2. How do I narrow my even boys down even farther? I know realistically I won't use all of these boys. What makes you all choose who stays intact and who doesn't? I know I want to move all my lines into two lines only. One line I want strictly DP and Macchiatto.
My next line I want to go black based. I want to combine my KPGP, Ice9.
I love black horses with white on them. Just not sure how to do this.

I want to go to sport ponies/riding ponies.

Why am I paying an extra 4% on barns in the IV shopping area? When I go to IV shopping and scroll to buy a new barn it used to tell me nothing, then it said I pay 2% on barns, and now it's 4%? Going to double check FAQ but why do we pay "interest" on stalls when buying new barns? Will it keep going up, and why? Instead of the usual 40 IVs for a 120 stall barn, now I need to pay 41? :-?

This is more for curiosity than anything (and something for me to possibly do when my insomnia hits) but is there a standard formula to calculate a horses winnings per show based on their score, points earned, or placing in the show? Just something I would enjoy doing overall but it could be helpful as my lines increase in figuring out which horses to cull if I can't decide by normal standards.
