Mare cull specific question

So...I'm culling my mares and having a hard time doing it.

I have a lot of 4 to 6 year old foundation brood mares. Obviously they don't have many foals on the ground. While I am trying to impose a 3 strikes policy, I need to do a pretty hard cull this season. So my question is this--if I have a mare with only 1 or 2 foals on the ground and her average foal PT is lower than her PT even though she's been bred to top stallions (perfect foundations or rank specials), should I cull her? Oh yeah, and there will be lots of Ausmerican foundation brood mares in the auctions for the next week or so...

So I'm looking through the backgrounds, and I don't see it in there. The pewter one is still there, which makes me think it wasn't just a limited edition or they'd both be gone. Bug or no?

On another note, I think the new ones are waaayy overpowering. How do they look behind lighter horses?

Tattoo question

So I havent created my first tattoo yet.
I dont know anything about tattoos except for what Ive seen on other peoples horses.

What does everyone recommend my first tattoo being for?

Should it just be for horses bred by me? And then as time goes on create ones to go with certain lines?

Also how the heck do I make one? lol

Sorry if the answer is somewhere but how does the paper grading for mares go? I've only seen Red and Blue so far. Also, what does it mean for the mare? Is she more likely to curve towards better foals?

Ok, so golden champagne is chestnut with Ch, and classic is black with Ch. can someone tell me what the difference is between Amber and Sable? It sort of seems like Amber is bright bay (no Ssty) and Sable is dark bay (at least one Ssty) but there are also Ats....is this a throw back to when "brown" meant dark bay and now sable champagnes are brown? Just trying to figure this out! Less worried about what color each is and more interested in the genes they carry, as being able to predict what I'm going to get from HHs is always good!

Ok. I am being over run again. I am very tempted to create more horses so I get a chance t9 get some cool ones. I really like the colorful spots and paints. I do have alot of solids but I hate to sell bc next breeding season I could use them. I hate to sell mares and I know ppl say to keep your spayed and gelded horses. But I hate to keep a non breeder when they can't produce much. Same thing with foals. How do u know if they will be productive without paying to feed for 2 or more years?

My stable keeps saying I am profiting so much a week then there is a net profit of - $. Am I loosing every week? It's almost 2k. How do you make your stable profitable?

I've noticed a few horses with pretty centered and some even colored font in the notes section. How are you all doing this? No matter what I do I just get a plain black straight line. Even when I hit return when I look at the horses page its just a full straight line.

So, I just bred one of my pastures, got 94 foals. Of those 94 foals, 6 were spayed or gelded by free testing. One was the foal identified as the best in my pasture by the automatic email. So....I still have 88 intact foals that DID pass the free tests....do I yum the lot? Do I alter the whole bunch? Or do I assume there was some sort of fluke and the foal really wasn't the best of the bunch and move on? Seriously freaking out as this was my DP fojndation pasture and losing the whole lot of foals will severely affect my breeding program.

Ok, y'all! I have been looking at the lethal tables and I'm pretty sure I'm ready to breed my gen 3s, but before I do, one last check!

Sabino is fine to breed to Sabino, right? And it's fine with white 4? I just have to watch my white 4 boy with any other white, but my boys don't have frame of any of the rare Splash genes so as long as I watch white to white, I should be ok?

I don't quite understand breeding and genes. And so far from what I'm trying to piece together through trial and error I always end up with foal of the same color as their mother. I have 3 horses left to breed for the season and I am not sure on how to breed to get a different coloring from the mother. Which genes should I keep my eyes out for breeding? Which should I use to breed to create a different coat? What genes should I see in a stallion that I want to breed with and what gene's should I stay away from?

I have just bred using my pastures but it told me that I need to check my email for my foal. I'm very confused about this and how I would be able to get to my foal. It does not show up at the bottom of my screen either. How am I able to get to the foal?

Keeping mares in pasture

I was looking and noticed my mares actually tell me how many days they have been in pasture. Does it do any good to keep them in pasture over 30 days? I notice that's when the counting stops, it just says 30+. I have more barns then pastures so if it doesn't matter then I might as well pull them out to make room for new girls to get their 30+

Mass Egg Flush Question

My very, very favorite mare is getting older now, and I would like to do a couple of Mass Egg Flushes the next couple of seasons, before she ages out of the game. Do any of you know if I might get a larger egg collection, if I do it early or later in the season? Is there a limit on how many total eggs that I can collect from her? Do the eggs expire?

Unevenly Bred Horses

So, when I started out - I ignorantly bred uneven horses because I thought it went by Era, not generation. I've also bought a few uneven horses, all the way through 9th generation. Is there a way to breed them that would make good foals (even just showing prospect foals) or are they just pretty show ponies that should be sterilized?

I know that if you leave a mare in a pasture, she accrues a breeding bonus, somehow. Does the bonus only apply to pasture breeding, or would a live cover or straw also use her bonus?

I started putting bows in their manes because they reminded me a lot of the ribbons that get braided into the manes of many Baroque horses...
But now I am starting to wonder which looks better for my horses. So, what do you guys think? Bows or no bows?

Using Straws?

So, in the adv. Breeding lab, I was looking at straws and eggs.
When I look at the straws, not all of my stallions appear. Like, my stud Bacchus for instance.
Why is that?
