So I'm getting pretty full on horses and I'm trying to increase my show bonus. I'm just running through hb's right now also. I do grab the Great Show Horses herd helper when I see it. At what point do I give up and sell a show horse? How long do I wait to see improvement in one not doing so well within the past few weeks? I know that even a second to last place earns me points but will they improve or are they just taking up a spot for a better horse? Also, is the like a sort of "magic number" pattern for each level that determines if the horse really is better than another? Going off just winnings can vary with the number they score so I'm not sure how to tell. Or is it just through experience and knowledge of the game?

My problem is that showable horses are always cut...how do I create a strict show line when they get cut all the time.
Most of my intact showers are mares which makes sense to me, mares and stallions have different requirements.

Maybe I'm not understanding the standards of GA and MA?

I did create several new horses to try getting more color (as my line is mostly red roan right now) as well as trying to see if I could get different showers out of the deal

So my question is how do you guys separate your gens? Does each one have its own pasture or stable? I recently snipped my stock that I had just bred, mostly foundations to a high PT stud. I wanted to see how pasture bonuses worked and what my PT would come out as. Was this a mistake? Does having evenness within the pedigree matter?

If any given horse is Profit: -5 they are not producing income correct? So if I'm looking at all information correctly every horse I have that shows that has a -# in red they are not earning but costing me HBs, correct?

I'm hitting a plateau in gen 6+ and I'm glad Ammit addressed this with evenness. It's not so much that I can't keep intact foals, as I'm not getting superior sons or higher PTs as much. I'm culling mares and I've changed my strategy a bit this season, paying more attention to AFPT on my mares.
