Showing Advice

Hi all,

As a new player I haven't really got the hang of the showing system yet. All my mares have been tested, and my two stallions too, for both showing aptitude and breeding quality. Which ones should I show, if any, and are the ones that were 'undecided' likely to blossom into good show prospects if I just keep throwing them into shows?

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!

Papers/ Show rankings

How/ when do horses get papers? I just started and I am confused. Do foundation horses even get papers?

Also how do showing levels work? I have two mares at 1W level but two others at 2L level. Which horses are better?

I created a horse this morning, and on the info page for the horse, it says Perfect Foundations. What does that mean about the horse compared to others without it?

Egg Collection Limit

Planning to do my first serious egg collecting next month since I have to switch some pastured mares around. How many eggs can I pull in one season AND still be able to breed the mare? I do not have the money to mass flush. Thanks.

So I just logged into my account and noticed I don't have access to all the stuff I should have had as an upgraded player such as PT testing and papering. I used to just have $7.50 deducted from my bank account every month for my upgrade. Do I have to renew my upgrade? Or is there a glitch?

I have not created a tattoo for my horses/stable. I have removed a few from some I have puchased, and it shows me a blank square as an available tattoo. I tried to create a tattoo once, but was unsuccessful (used my phone). Now I can not create one at all with the tattoo manager, why is that?

Anyone having auction problems

Not sure what's up. I had over 60 horses in the auction. I checked at like 7:50 to check on my auction bids and there were none listed. Also at that time it said I had what I have now in my account. My total didn't change after the auction. Is the auction still ending at 8? Do you get paid prior to the end time? Also not sure why my bids were not listed and I couldn't search for any auction horses 10 mins before the auction ends?

The "Enter This Barn" button is very convenient, but it competes many of my horses against each other. I've tried waiting throughout the week and slowly entering each horse one by one to try and get more wins, but I want to know what the more experienced players think. Which direction do you guys go in? Which way gets more wins/money for your showing? Thanks in advance

30 missing IV's

I had purchased 30 IV's a few hours ago and I have yet to receive them . I had even logged out , and logged back in , in hopes that would help . ( followed a suggestion ) Anywho , when I logged back in it had said I had bought 30 IV's for X amount of money but when I went to purchase an upgrade , it says I have insufficient IVs for purchase.

One of my mares I just purchased for 5k won't come off the market.
Everytime I go in and set her price to zero it takes her off the market, but as soon as I click off or go to another page and back to her- she is on the market again for the purchase price again. :|

Culling Show Horses?

As a newer player, I'm always short on cash, especially in the midst of and at the end of breeding season. I was wondering how you all decide who to cull and who to keep in terms of show horses (and/or breeding horses if you choose to cull those first) when you either run out of space or funds. Do you go on PT after comparing like aged horses to each other in terms of point value? How many years do you give a horse to prove itself? As an aside, I'm wondering whether to alter and keep or auction off cull foundations (mine are mostly <7yo) - let me know your thought process on that too :) Thanks!

Pasture Bug?

Could someone please help me with this. Not sure if its a bug, or I'm doing something wrong...

I have two pastures and both are causing me issues in slightly different ways.
My Primary pasture wont let me remove or swap my current stallion.
My Secondary pasture won't let me remove my stallion OR two mares from it.
Was able to click the cross and every other horse left my pastures...
Help?

FIXED .where is all the money coming from?

Past week or so I've noticed I'm getting money. I noticed it first in a small amount that I decided was from showing, as I had gelded some of my Colts I thought maybe they had brought in a little extra profit than normal. It then happened again but all I had done was shown a few new (maybe 4) Foals I checked my public breedings and didn't see any new takers. Not to mention my studs are EXTREMELY cheap so there's no way I got 2,000 hbs from any of that.
Now today I have 10,000 "extra hbs. I did create 2 new horses but I don't remeber seeing the notification that I had won the create lottery

I have also bought several new straws and then a new filly so I should only have around 500 hbs left until sunday.
Now i by no means keep tract of my funds like I should, but i swear I should not have this much. All I can think is that another player is gifting me the extra cash

First I had 300 hbs bump up to 700 then from 700 to 2000. Then back down to around maybe 500 then 10,000 (all these are based on guesses from what I remeber)

If someone(s) if gifting the money then I thank whomever you are very much. But if it's a glitch I'd feel bad for taking advantage of it

What quality (or qualities) is the game judging in pasture foals when it gives you the "best of the bunch"? Just wondering because I bred a Gen 2 pasture and had a few of colts make it through unaltered this season. There were plenty of good mares too, I'm just comparing likes to likes for the sake of argument.

Colt A and Colt B were born on the same date/out of the same pasture breeding session. Stud 1 and Stud 2 are both HH top notch producers with the same creation date.

Colt A is by stud 1, passed GA/SAT and PT of 9.6. Colt A's dam is a HH top notch producer.
Colt B is by stud 2, passed GA/SAT and PT of 10.10. Colt B's dam is a HH rank special.

Colt A was deemed the best and I'm just curious as to why, considering the large PT difference. It probably has something to do with HH top notch x HH top notch, but I'd love someone to tell me about it :)

Anyone else wish it would give a best male and best female?

I'm sure at least one of my horses should get an award. He was on the second place on the 2nd Gen Horses, Era 4 Breeders Club LB. And I'm sure that there were 25 horses at this LB. I don't think he fall out from the first ten horses. Anyway, I didn't get the award today. I remember that several game years ago few of my horses were supposed to get their awards too, but it didn't happen. Is it normal?
