I'm staying in the Golden Star hotel if you want to read some of the glowing reviews. Most trip advisor reviews I pay zero attention to, I actually have a little system that I use to determine if a reviewer is just a moaner or not, all I do is check their reviews for other hotels and see if they just pick fault with them. I know some of the reviews are just over exaggerations of people who love to tear places to pieces but some of them seem genuine. Quite a few of the glowing reviews are from Turkish people so I tend to ignore those as they could be friends or family trying to make the business look good.

I've tried contacting the site I booked through to change my hotel but they have said it's too late to cancel (with refund) and because I'm not there I cant change. They're basically saying I can only change when I get there and turn up at the dump of a building that it is or lose out on money and try and find more to book another hotel.
