Basic info....I'm 28 with 3 very young kids (9,4 and almost 2) and a husband who is always at work. I live in a tiny itty-bitty town in the backwoods of NV.

I went in last Monday for a mole biopsy after it started growing, changing colors and growing hairs....ewwwwww...... Blood work done on Tuesday. Doctor refused to give me the results of the bloodwork over the phone because of HIPA, other than it looks like I have what could be Prolactinoma. (Great a tumor in my head) Melanoma cancer runs high and strong in my family. Then my truck breaks down as I'm running late to the doctors office 1 hour away so I call to have it towed, then the dolly towing my truck my gets a flat tire. I just got bit by 2 mosquito's and stung by a bee. :-S I honestly feel very alone minus one good friend I've made here.

Someone....anyone I'm begging share a funny story, sad story, any story about anything at all to take my mind off of the crap running through my head?

AQHA Young Horse Development Program

I'm looking into participating in the AQHA Young Horse Development Program next year! Has anyone here ever done this program? Was it difficult and how often did you get to work with your mentor? When the program was over did you end up keeping your yearling or selling it, and why? Thanks in advanced for any awnsers. If you haven't herd or done this program its bacially where you are given a weanling and a mentor then you train it up until its a yearling. I'm still a little fuzzy on the last part but from what I understand there is a big show at the end where winners get scholarship money for college. For those who haven't participated in this program, in general is it overly difficult to train a weanling? Lastly any tips on how to halter break or teach good ground manners are appreciated. Also if anyone knows a good book on weanling training I would love to know what it is. Sorry this was so long I just want to make sure I know what im doing before I go into this because I would hate to mess up a perfectly good horse by training it wrong or missing something in the training. Thanks in advanced for the help! :)

Ursa has had 6 puppies so far. Her first one was still born but the other 5 are healthy and doing good so far. Still gonna be a long night though checking on her and her babies.

Just curious to find out , what is the most popular breed of horse in your country? In Scotland, it's mostly Highland ponies/horses and at many riding schools I've been to it's Ex racers/TB's

So it is actually a total coincidence but I happen to have pony that at this time of year just as she starts to get her winter coat in who goes such a dark chestnut she looks almost black, her she is from today. You can also see her cool tobiano roaning and her flaxen tail
Please excuse the fatness of her, sadly that is the occupational hazard of having a shetland pony this time of year, she also hasn't been brushed in a while so is a mess.

Extreme Mustang Makeover and Mustang Magic

I've been watching these video's lately. Just wow! The things these people can do with these horses just makes me cry. Some of the Mustang Magic video's are absolutely amazing. 100 days and they have these horses doing lead changes and in hunter and jumping competitions.

In the past few years I have finally gotten into the Twilight saga. When the books came out I had no interest at all. When the first movie came out I was a little excited because they were pushing them as a vampire/werewolf movie and I love those movies and we had not had any recent ones out in awhile. When I saw it I was totally not impressed. It wasn't a vampire movie at all. Now that time has passed I've taken it as a romance, which is what it really is, and have gotten over the fact it has weird vampire like and werewolf like creators in it. I've become kind of obsessed, if you ask my husband. I just finished the first book and I watch the entire saga everyday for at least a month now lol. I decided my entire Black herd will be named things to do with the movie. rofl Anyone else obsessed?

Cushings in horses?

What are the signs that my friends mare could have cushings? She never lost her winter coat really? She gets 10% sweet feed once every other day. She is out on pasture 24/7 with access to a run in shed. Fresh water everyday.

I turn 38 tomorrow and am near tears tonight. All I want is to feel secure on my gelding so that I can ride. It has been a long time since I have felt secure on a horse. I am hoping that I can just sit on him and breathe tomorrow. I want to make a come back and be the confident rider I once was.

Ok so me and my mom were talking about the Mandela Effect this morning and we were looking up stuff about it. Everyone remembers the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs scene where the evil queen is asking the mirror who is the fairest of all. But does anyone remember her saying "Magic Mirror." Probably not everyone remembers her saying "Mirror Mirror" right well if you look up the scene from the original 1937 movie she says "Magic Mirror" I swear on my life I don't remember it not being "Mirror Mirror." This all started because of the worlds smartest kid (age 13) talking about how we live in a parallel universe and how we have deja vu and whatnot. Which would also sorta explain how the scene in the Simpsons where Trump becomes president before he was actually president in real time. The universes are just slightly not align with each other which makes us get deja vu. Its the result of us catching up with the previous universes events but just slightly slower. Weird huh yeah my mine is like really blown at the moment. The kid believes our first universe was destroyed and we jumped universes which is slightly shorter.

I decided recently to get an extra barn because my herd is expanding and to be honest with you I don't feel like going through and deciding on which ones to get rid of because I'm lazy. Tra-la-la, no problem, right?

Wrong.

Paypal has poofed my account. Annoyingly, when I tried and log in it helpfully informed me that my info is wrong, so I assumed I had misremembered my password and attempted to enter my email to have a reset sent to me.

No dice.

Okay... Wrong email then, I guess...?

Nah.

30 minutes later on the phone with a super nice but utterly baffled customer service rep and still no luck, and no barn for me. Oh well, I'm sure they'll figure it out sometime, I suppose I should look through my horses and weed some out... Woe is me, no rest for the wicked, my life is a fiery hellscape, I couldn't possibly go on.

(Obviously this is on PayPal's end, not HJ2, so theres no need to bring Ammit or anyone in, I'm just whining)

Lacerated liver and a nice hood bruise on my high stomach. (Thankfully that's it) Stuck here through tomorrow.. need stuff to keep my mind off of everything..

Back story: I'm 27, had my gorgeous blood bay (w/chrome face & legs) for ten years in October. I had a connection with her the moment my butt touched that Western saddle on her back. I had to have her. She is sensitive and FAST and everything I ever wanted in a horse, except.. I've had 3 concussions, one resulting in a seizure, a broken ankle, a near broken thumb, and now two separate kicks. I am a good rider whom it usually takes a lot to unseat, but today, as I was swinging up into my English saddle (I may have tickled her elbow with my toe) she started crow hopping and as I bounced off her back, behind her, she squarely kicked me right in the gut. FML. My Mom wants me to get rid of her.. and I'm pissed because she should NOT have kicked me as I was landing from being thrown.. is this the final straw? Should it be? I'm so hurt and torn.. I love her, but that was unacceptable in my eyes. Just plain mean.

Hi everyone!

I'm still a little new here, so I don't totally know how things work, but I was wondering if anyone liked doing stable roleplays and would want to like be my friend and do one with me?

We could say that our barns are like neighbours and have human characters and roleplay riding/training our horses. It just seemed fun to me idk!
