Introducing Ice 13! I created a whole new generator process to create these awesome snowflakes. Every snowflake is unique, and the more white factor a horse has the more snowed over they will become.

::Restrictions::
Can only be added to foundations age 4 or below, with no foals.
Cloned horses must be preapproved by me before I will add Ice to them.
No sharing allowed! Only those that own foundations with Ice 13 are allowed to breed/purchase/own it in anyway.
You can buy Ice 13 for someone else but the person who ends up with the foundation is the one who can own the gene.
No selling of spayed/gelded horses to non Ice 13 owners.

Ice 13 chatroom will not be created until January.
All orders must be places no later then 11:59 PM Jan 5th.

Please read this carefully. If you do not follow these instructions I can not add the gene for you. Posting here is the only way I know to look for a payment from you.

Log into PayPal
Select "Money" from the header.
Select "Send Money"

For each horse include:

Stable images updated

You will no longer have to go through complicated off-site hosting for stable images. Images are now uploaded directly. They must be jpg format, no larger than 500 x 150 px and less than 15kbs.

Fantasy Gene Sell Back Option

If you have a horse with an ice gene or a nexus complex gene (nexus or any axiom) you will not see a "Fantasy Gene Sell Back" option under your normal sell back to game option. This allows the horse to be sold back to the game instantly for 2500 hbs. You do lose a bonus stall xp point when doing this (just like with the auction), and you can use the 1000 hb sell back option instead if you would like to take less money and keep the xp point instead.

This change will allow those with the closed LE fantasy genes to get full sell back price for their creates, and give a little bonus to those seller who breed the open LE fantasy genes. Since you no longer have to wait for the auction to run you can breed and yum faster and make more money from breeding.

Ice and Nexus no longer allowed on public sales board

We have had just a never ending string of bad breeding, market flooding, new member scamming etc surrounding ice and nexus. Shutting down sharing of the new versions and closing public breeding has already helped but I am still dealing with new members who are being taken advantage of.

I do not believe this is malicious by people, they aren't trying to scam new members. It is built out of not knowing how the game works. In less indepth horse games, shiny color is the only thing that makes a horse rare or valuable. In HAJ breeding ability, and show points handily trump that. People think exotic looking is going to make them lots of money when in reality chasing that is only hurting their barns in the long run.

These genes can still be sold in the auction and via buddy sales. Though the auction method may not stick around if I see it becoming a problem as well. I will adjust things as we go along to make sure the game is fun and safe for everyone.

You can now change your username!

We have a lot of funky usernames and have had a LOT of requests to change them over the years. You now can do just that. If your username has a space or other character and no longer follows our naming conventions you can change your name for free. (And I would encourage you to do so so your forum account works correctly). If your account is less then 2 weeks old you can also change your name for free.

Cost for everyone else is 4 GMTs.

When you change your name it also updates your forum account name. This will correct any forum/game name mismatches.

We are holding a contest until the end of November. Create some new background art for the game and win two copies of snowflake.

You must post below with an image that is exactly 500 X 333 pixels and .png format.
It must compliment the art style of the game.
It must be digitally painted/drawn by you. No photo manipulation.
Make sure horses look correct on this background, if they look strange floating awkwardly I won't use it.
You must be the sole creator of the art work.
No copying any copyrighted designs. Create something unique.
I will select as many or as few winners from both servers as I want to use on the site.
Categories are strong suggestions, but you don't have to follow them.

November Gene Sale: Snowflake and Splash 3| CLOSED

It's time for our fall gene sale. Snowflake and Splash 3 are both available for manual purchase until the end of the month.

Snowflake is a variation of varnish appaloosa. A horse must have two copies of snowflake and at least one copy of appaloosa/LP to show. It will also show better on horses with blankets or other smaller appaloosa markings. Full leopards won't show the effect.

Price for Snowflake is $10 per copy ($20 for homozygous).

Splash 3 was founded by horse 3 million Lupin The Third. So far he has been the only foundation in the game to have the gene and is the sire of all splash 3 horses in the game. You can now own your own Splash 3 foundation.

Price for Splash 3 is $10 per copy. (Homozygous lethal, no hom horses)

The w4 mutation of kit has been renamed m. (Make of that name what you will ;) ) It is now fully dynamically generating.

I will NOT be answering questions about what it is lethal with, but only because you will be pleased by what you find. Be brave and do some breeding. :)

This generation is a bit slow but it's not horrible. This will be addressed in the future but for the moment I am not triggering all w4/m's in the game to refresh because of that. Refreshing any former w4s will make the new pattern show.

One exclamantion point will do it gals. ;)

Buddy Chat Mods and Alert Icons

Buddy chat owners, you can now appoint and remove moderators for your chat rooms (use the up and down arrows). Mods can add or remove members and can add horses for sale/breeding with the "Mods only" rule.

Hopefully everyone has noticed the orange bell that shows up in the header if you have a new buddy chat message. Now the bell will be there all the time, open and gray for no messages and filled in orange for a new message.

There is also a game message icon I am working on, but have not finished yet. It is not working yet.

New # to ID Anywhere Feature

You can now use the number sign (#) any where in a horses name while creating a horse, renaming it, or breeding a foal. The # will auto convert into that horses ID number.

New Buddy Chat

Our current "buddy list" system for private sales and breeding is being replaced with our new chat room based system "Buddy Chat". Link is now in the side bar.

Anyone with a premium upgrade can create their own chat room. Room owners can add and remove members, change the name of the room, add notes, and delete the room. You can also set rules for who is allowed to put horses up for breeding/sales in the room. If a room you are a member or owner of has a new posts you can see an orange alert bell at the top left in the game screen, and the exact group with the alert on the buddy chat page.

Buddy Chat breeding and sales is still being worked on.

Chat rooms will always be invite only. The owner (or eventually a mod) must add each user to the group. Large public chat is for the forum. These are for small groups of friends.

Ice/Nexus/Axiom can no longer be put on the public breeding list.

From now on if you try to put a Ice, Nexus, or Axiom horse up for the public stud list you will get an error. No other breeding methods have been changed.

This change is happening because the new fantasy genes can not be shared anyways, and there are already so many of these old fantasy lines out there, and becasue they lead new members astray and encourage them to be bad breeders. Fantasy genes are a lot of fun and a great way to add some whimsy to the game. But they should be only that, "a bit of whimsy". They should not be mass bred, in the lowest of quality by newbies, in futile get rich quick schemes. In addition the proliferation of these genes into the general populations reflects poorly on the game, since realistic genetics is our entire deal.

I am sure there are some bugs. Some things may be missing still. Some things may be backwards and say you where paid when you spent etc. This is just the tracking, and the tracking can be wrong. Don't panic. ;)

HJ2 is now old enough that I am not worried about throttling rarer genes. DHH rarity, reroll cost, chance at spontaneous rare genes, number of horses given for each DHH etc, now all match HJ1 rates. In other words, more fancy colors for you for less cost/effort.

New foal art!

Foal art has been updated and there is now a unique foal image for each of the 3 bone weights.

I still have some pixel perfecting to do on these so you may see a stray pixel here and there but I wanted to get these out asap. Enjoy!

Sabino 3 is now White Spotting 8

First: Why the name change? When sabino 2 and sabino 3 where added to the game the naming convention for new white mutations had not yet been established. It was assumed they would be continuing with the sabino sequence. They did not. All new white mutations at now part of the white spotting (w) sequence. There is no sabino but sabino-1 and our game is being changed to reflect that.

W8 is a real gene. It was found as a novel mutation in a single Icelandic horse. He may have been the only horse in real life who will have have it.

W8 in the game is bold, graphic and dotty just like sabino 3 before it, but it is now generating in a more realistic looking fashion while keeping the same spirit as the original generation.
